Measurement of surface tension between Air and Liquid

Surface tension over time is measured. The experiment will last until equilibrium is reached.

Measurement of the equilibrium surface tension versus concentration

Isotherm of the adsorption is given with 20 concentrations.

Behavior of a surfactant at a surface (Surface rheology)

With surface tension measurement we can apply a dilatational variation of the drop at different frequencies. Thanks to rheology, we have access to the behavior of the surfactant at the surface (remains at the surface, fast adsorption etc...)

At the end of adsorption kinetics (surface tension versus time) 5 frequencies will be applied to the drop.

​Jet & Depressurization​

 

  • Jet, a jet is created by recirculation of foaming solution. The contact between the jet and the foaming solution create foam.

  • Depressurization, a soluble gaz is injected in foaming solution (under pressure) after that a depressurisation is applied a the soluble gaz is salted out and make foam.

Supercritical CO2 Measurement

Measurement of surface tension between CO2 and Liquid.

The surface tension during time is measured. The experiment will last until the equilibrium (Maximum 2 hours) is reached.

Down or up sessile drop 

Measurement of the contact angle on a support choosen by the customer. The angle of the drop versus time will be given until the equilibrium angle.

Maximum temperature 200°C, Maximum pressure 40 bar.

In addition to foam study, a second camera will focus on bubble size and distribution to collect even more data to analyze the quality of foam.
