Understanding Foam Behavior Under Pressure

 

​The FOAMSCAN™ HTMP provides a science-based solution for foam analysis at temperatures up to 120 °C and pressures up to 8 bar (116 psi).

Modular and Flexible Design, FOAMSCAN™ HTMP can be equipped with:

• Mid-pressure measuring tube – for measurements up to 120 °C / 8 bar

• Standard measuring tube – for measurements up to 90 °C at atmospheric pressure

Foam generation is achieved by injecting gas into the liquid through a porous glass filter.

The Automatic cleaning can be programmed after each measurement, eliminating the need for manual disassembly and cleaning.

With 100% software control, measurements start automatically once the set temperature and pressure are reached.

By combining advanced image analysis with conductivity techniques, FOAMSCAN™ HTMP provides reliable and reproducible data on:

• Foam volume, Liquid volume, foaming capacity, and foamability

• Foam stability and drainage

FOAMSCAN™ HTMP can also generate and analyze foams created by depressurization; and be adapted to a version fully compatible with HCl solutions, further broadening its application range
