Since Sept. 2020, TECLIS has been involved in Foam-Up Research Project in collaboration with the Laue-Langevin Institute and the Institute of Chimie Separative de Marcoule (CEA).

The 1st step was to study simultaneously the macroscopic foam properties and investigate its structure at the nanometer scale, in order to better understand the physico-chemical factors that affect the aging of foams at different length scales. To do so, the FOAMSCAN™ was adapted and a new measuring column was developed, to enable the simultaneous data collection from a small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) diffractometer, from an optical camera and an electrical conductivity meter.

First results were presented at French-swiss meeting SANS for soft matter in Strasbourg, France (February 2022).

Next presentation of the results will be done by the researchers of ILL and ICSM at EUFOAM 2022 conference, in Kraków, Poland on July 3-6, 2022. Don't miss it!
